Amanda gives the lowdown on our fearless rebrand…
Just to forewarn, we’re pretty excited. Today marks many months of work from the whole team to bring what you see before you to life. In short, it’s a big day at Story Comms Towers.
Soon, we celebrate our fourth birthday and with this milestone, we’re launching a whole new brand. From the very things that define us, to the website, social channels and some pretty special new team members. All with with the teal intact.
We’re a pretty eager and energetic bunch and with that comes a relentless desire to keep pushing on. That means delivering awesome work we can be proud of for our #TeamStory clients, growing what we can do for those clients with new services, and, ultimately, being the agency people want to work with, and for.
As part of our new look, we decided to go deep and really evaluate our values as a business.
Everyone at Story has always known what we stand for – and against. Infectious enthusiasm and passion for our work, pushing ourselves and each other, straight-talking, creativity, intelligence and delivering over and above the brief. We stand against mediocrity, accepting failure and those that are all about the ‘I’ – that clearly, is not in team.
I can happily say we’ve now nailed it down Story’s ethos to a few ‘core’ values.
- Fearless. It’s the core of Story. We propose and deliver the ideas and work we know will get results, even if it’s not what was expected. We never ever let the fear win.
- United. One team, one dream. We stand together as #TeamStory teammates and with our clients. We get stuck in and no-one is left behind.
- Relentless. We never give up. We have dogged determination to get things right. Believe me on this one…
- Honest. We’ll always say it like it is.
A little bit more about how we got to where we are today.
Working with the challenging minds at brand agency ORB, we found every time anyone talked about Story, they talked about soldiers on a mission. A team with a united drive. Looking at our values, we wanted to capture our passion to always move ahead, delivering work and results that aren’t expected, and, of course, to grow. And now it’s all there. And I couldn’t be prouder.
And on our new look and feel? It’s a little bit shouty, bold, colourful and full of enthusiasm – just like us. And reflects what we do for businesses – creating communications that cut through all that noise out there and actually connects businesses – often the really complex ones, which we love – with those that matter to them.
Looking ahead, I see today as the start of a new chapter for Story. One we’ve been writing now for a while, but this new brand has put it down on paper. It is giving us the grounding to grow further and support some kick ass brands and businesses we truly love – we only ever work with clients we are passionate about – who also spread the word that Story is the place for businesses looking to make an impression with their customers and clients.
