Telling stories that matter
Today we launch STORY. The agency that tells stories that matter. The untold. The unheard. The ones that change the world.
Over the last couple of years, we’ve grown – and sharpened our perspective on why we do what we do. Telling stories that matter, that change the world for the better in some small way, has always been in our DNA at STORY but now, as they say, it hits different. Now it’s time to bring it to the very front of what we do.
What we believe in…
For us, bland is boring. Stories have always changed the world and we waste the opportunity to stand out by telling the same old. In an overloaded world, how do you tell a story?
It’s about being more punk.
By being brave, questioning everything, challenging, stripping out jargon and talking like humans. From the bus to the boardroom, people want to be seen, to connect and to be cared for. People want to be part of something bigger, a community.
STORY was set up to tell stories that change the world. For us that also means calling it on bland jargon, management speak and corporate BS. With nonsense lingo we waste the opportunity to change things in a big way.
We’re calling it on…moving the dial, synergies, leveraging, reaching out, gaining traction, assets, cutting through and being so flipping delighted – ALL OF THE TIME.
On vanity metrics, optics, circling back – and please save us, so-called ‘tissue sessions’.
Nope. As clients ourselves, none of that mattered. What mattered was our story being seen, heard and understood by the people that mattered to us.
So, what changes?
We have a new look, an evolved offer and (technically) a new name too. We’ve gone punk. Our new brand is bold, loud and proud. We are too.
This week we also become STORY (we were Story Comms, but no-one ever calls us that!) PR will always be home but to tell more stories better, we have grown our offering to include creative, film and more specialist social media.
We also officially launch STORY Studio, our creative and film production arm, fully integrated with our PR team, our difference is that we make news-led films – and ‘do’ the strategy and promotion work that makes them fly. We have invested in a studio because we know how important film is now – and it’s only growing. The studio is led by Tom Lowe, an ex-ITV News editor, and is staffed by former news journalists and creative film-makers who have worked on everything from social clips to adverts – and even Netflix dramas.
So, take a look. A new name, a new look and a punk perspective. New website. New showreel. New content. I’d love your feedback.
